About accreditation
Certification is what a certification body issues after auditing your management system. Accreditation is independent oversight of the certification body itself, confirming it is competent and impartial.
If your customer, tender or trading partner specifies a particular accreditation body, send us the requirement at enquiry stage and we will confirm what we can provide before you commit. Get in touch.

A word on logos. You will notice we do not display an “ISO” logo anywhere on this site. The ISO name and logo are registered trademarks of the International Organization for Standardization and may not be used by certification bodies or by certified companies. Any organisation showing you an ISO logo is using it without authorisation. What you may legitimately display is your certification body’s mark and the wording “certified to ISO 9001:2015”. We issue you the correct artwork and the rules that go with it when your certificate is issued.
How to check us before you commit
Anyone can put a badge on a website. These are the things you can actually verify about ACERTA, and we would encourage you to check all of them before engaging any certification body, including us.

We publish a register of certified organisations, the standard each holds and the scope of certification.
Any certificate we issue
Every ACERTA certificate carries a unique number that can be checked against our register before you accept it from a supplier.
Our impartiality
We publish our impartiality policy. ACERTA does not provide management system consultancy and does not certify systems it has advised on.
Our conditions
Our general conditions, fee policy, complaints procedure and suspension rules are all published, not hidden behind a signature.
The honest version of what a certificate is worth
A certificate is only ever worth as much as the body behind it and the scope written on it. Two certificates against the same standard can mean very different things depending on who issued them, what accreditation sits behind it, and whether the scope actually covers the products your customer is buying.
So before you accept any certificate — ours or anyone else’s — read the scope line and check the issuing body. If the organisation asking you for certification has named a specific accreditation, tell us exactly what they wrote and we will confirm the right pathway rather than sell you something that will not satisfy it.
